Brewer's Hideaway Farm

We will care for the land we have been entrusted with in a way that is respectful to the soil and all who are part of the farm. The qualities of sustainability, recycling, and simplicity help to guide our decisions. Our farm is a place to gather together to celebrate the richness that the Earth gives us.

Evening Sun

It's been beautiful the past week, and we have been working on putting our onions in the ground.
Rachel says there are about 600 but I'm thinking there are 1200! It's been such a blessing to spend two evenings with our feet in the fresh soil, our hands in the mud and our hearts reflecting on life.
For me this year is all very new. It has been hard to give up my gypsy life. However I am excited to dedicate my life to the first season of being home.
Now home is the glimpse of my nieces playing in a glittering field of rye. It is laughing with my sister as we shout above the neighbors noisy lawn mower and the cry of little lambs with soft grass underfoot.

Yes, I'll take more of this.

Potato Time!

This past week we planted our potatoes! All 800! Hopefully in the next few weeks they will sprout up and start growing their beautiful canopies of green.

One potato, two potatoes, three potatoes, Four! Five potatoes, six potatoes, seven potatoes, More!

Hatching Out

Here we go! Brewer's Hide-A-Way Farm is starting its first "official" year. We received our LLC license in the mail today and we are excited to be a real business. In many ways we have been preparing for this for many years and it feels good to finally be moving forward in big ways. Please share your stories and experiences with us via this page so that all the members of the Brewer's Hide-A-Way Farm community can enjoy this season as we grow together. Hooray! Let's get hatching!
